Agents of the National Police, in collaboration with the Local Police, have arrested in the municipality of Arrecife a 64-year-old man, with no criminal record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
The National Police received anonymous information that placed a possible point of sale of narcotics in a premises in Arrecife closed to the public, also located just 50 meters from an infant and primary school.
Police investigations allowed to verify that numerous individuals came to the aforementioned building to buy and consume narcotics.
With the mandatory judicial order, police officers carried out a search of the aforementioned premises in which 290 grams and 11 marijuana plants, 85 grams of hashish and 586 euros in cash were seized. The person in charge, who was inside, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
After preparing the corresponding police report, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Arrecife Police Station, who were assisted by members of the Local Police of the municipality.
