An uninhabited house located in Uga caught fire on Thursday around 8:00 p.m. Several units of the Emergency and Rescue Consortium, the Local Police and the Yaiza Civil Protection fire unit appeared at the scene, who managed to put out the flames.
"The reasons for the fire are unknown, it is not known if it was an oversight or an act of vandalism," said the head of the Yaiza Fire Fighting Unit (UCI), Patric Cazorla. As the owner of the house resides outside the island, the person in charge of the house was alerted.
