Firefighters released an eight-year-old boy this Wednesday who had been trapped in a vehicle in Montañas del Fuego in Timanfaya Park.
At around 11 in the morning, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) received the alert and quickly dispatched Local Police officers, the Emergency Consortium and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firefighters found the boy with his left arm trapped between two rear seats of the vehicle. Using a separating tool, they managed to free the arm, but discovered that one of his fingers was trapped between two plastics. Due to the complexity of unscrewing the seat, it was decided to cut it with a special tool to access the child's hand.
Once the seat was removed, the technicians used an upholstery remover to open the plastics and free the child's finger. Fortunately, the minor appeared to be in good health after the rescue.
