A 35-year-old woman and a 21-month-old girl were injured this Wednesday after suffering an accident on the LZ-20 road, near the Zonzamas landfill. The incident occurred shortly before 4:15 p.m., when the vehicle in which they were traveling left the road and ended up overturning.

According to the first assessment of the paramedics at the scene of the accident, both presented multiple contusions, although of a "less serious" nature, "except for complications", according to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security. Both have been transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital in two ambulances of the Canary Emergency Service.

Agents of the Civil Guard and personnel of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote have also traveled to the place, although those affected have been able to leave the vehicle on their own. Thus, the firefighters have been in charge of securing the damaged vehicle and collaborating with the rest of the emergency resources.
