Lanzarote says goodbye this Sunday to an episode of strong wind that has left gusts of more than 80 kilometers per hour in several points of the Island. According to data from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the highest intensity was recorded in Tinajo, where the wind reached 83 kilometers per hour. In Tías, the gusts reached up to 76 kilometers per hour.

The Aemet maintains active yellow warnings for wind and coastal phenomena until the early afternoon, although the forecast points to a progressive loss of intensity throughout the day.

However, the wind will give way this Monday to another meteorological phenomenon: dust. Aemet has activated the yellow alert for suspended dust from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Visibility could be reduced to 3,000 meters, with more significant concentrations from 400 or 500 meters in altitude.

As for the temperatures, the lows will barely experience changes, while the highs will rise, notably in the interior. On the coast, the wind will generally be light from the east or northeast, and in high areas, it will blow moderately from the east or southeast, with some intervals of strong wind during the early morning.
