A vehicle crashed into a lamppost in the Altavista neighborhood, in Arrecife, in the early hours of this Wednesday.
According to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, the incident occurred at 00:58 on Chafaris Street. Firefighters went to the scene and, upon arrival, found that the crash had torn the lamppost from its anchor and moved it several meters. Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle was outside of it and in apparent good health.
The firefighters proceeded to protect and tape off the wiring that was exposed after the accident, and removed the lamppost to a safe place.
