Firefighters have rescued a person who fell inside a cistern in Yaiza. The events occurred before 9 am this Wednesday.
Alerted by the Security and Emergency Consortium, the workers went to the place and accessed the interior of the cistern. Once in the area, they provided primary care to the injured person and placed a cervical collar on him.
According to Emergencias, the man had a fracture in his left ankle, a fracture in his hip and a head injury. So he had to be immobilized on a stretcher to be taken up to the door of the cistern.
After being evacuated from the place, the health services intervened. Agents from the Local Police, the Canary Islands Emergency Service and Civil Protection also moved to the area.
