A man was rescued after falling off the Famara Cliff while practicing paragliding. The incident occurred this Sunday, when Rescates y Emergencias del Norte (REN) received a call alerting that a person was missing, according to this service in a statement.
The Local Police of Haría joined this operation to try to find a man, who had fallen off the Cliff and was missing. These agents, as well as the REN teams, went to the scene of the incident and located this man, 46 years old and of German nationality.
The injured man had symptoms of hypothermia and dehydration, after spending 36 hours outdoors because he could not get out of the place where he fell, as he was trapped. The victim was transferred to the Órzola dock at around 5:50 p.m., when the operation ended.
