The National Police have arrested C.F.M.G. in Arrecife, a 47-year-old man with 8 police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery. The arrested man, according to the police force, "violently" stole the purse from a woman, as he entered her vehicle and managed to snatch it from her "after punching her several times to make her release it".

The investigation began after a complaint filed by a woman, in which she reported being the victim of a violent robbery. The complainant explained to the Police that "when she was inside her vehicle, an individual entered it on the passenger side, grabbing her purse, at which point she began to scream and struggle with the man", the Police report. When she did not release her purse, her assailant "began to hit her on the head while shouting at her to shut up, finally managing to snatch it and escape running", they add.

After that event, the victim had to be assisted in a health center for various bruises she had on her head, neck and left hand. The police investigations carried out resulted in the identification, location and subsequent arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the violent robbery committed.

Once the corresponding police report was prepared, it was sent to the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents assigned to the Arrecife Police Station.
