A 68-year-old woman was injured on a bus in Arrecife. The family is considering reporting the incident because, according to her daughter, the woman fell after the driver braked "abruptly.

The incident occurred last Friday, around 6:15 p.m., when the woman was traveling on a bus on line 3 of Arrecife. Specifically, the events took place on Temisa Street, corner of Carlos III (Altavista) when, according to her daughter, Carlota Noda, the woman got up to get off at a stop in the Altavista neighborhood. "The bus stopped, but then started again, perhaps because the driver thought she had already gotten off. My mother warned him and told him to stop, that she was going to fall and it seems that he braked abruptly and she fell," she says.

Local Police officers, as well as an ambulance from the SUC, went to the scene and transferred the woman to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, after presenting a mild head trauma. As a result of the fall, the woman also suffered a fracture of the shoulder blade and left wrist, according to the family.
