National Police agents have arrested a 22-year-old man in Arrecife with a police record as the alleged perpetrator of a theft.
The events unfolded last August following a report from a man stating that, when he was opening his cafeteria in the capital of Lanzarote, an individual entered the premises and asked for a glass of water. In a moment of distraction, this individual stole his wallet, which was next to the cash register, and contained personal documentation and 500 euros in cash.
A police investigation was thus initiated in which the alleged perpetrator of the events was fully identified, and he was subsequently located and arrested for theft. After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
