The Orfeón La Paz of San Critobal de La Laguna (Tenerife), founded in 1918, is celebrating its centenary and on the occasion of such an important event it was invited by the Teguise City Council to participate in the events programmed for the Carmen festivities, framed in the '600 Years of History of Teguise', and thus return the visit that the Coral Polifónica Villa de Teguise had previously made to it.

Thus, the Santo Domingo Convent hosted on Saturday night a concert by the Orfeón La Paz of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, whose first part included the participation of the Coral Villa de Teguise, directed by the professor, Nuvi Tavio, which included a varied repertoire of songs of different genres such as habaneras, boleros, Japanese song, etc.

The second part of the concert was given by the Orfeón La Paz of San Critobal de La Laguna, the most awarded cultural association in Tenerife. Directed by Professor Juan Ramón Vinagre, the choir performed, together with the Pulsed String Orchestra, a select repertoire covering works from all eras with different styles. Once again, the professionalism, dedication and good work conquered the public, who were very dedicated and did not stop applauding each of their compositions and, standing up, asked the Orfeo La Paz to continue its performance, a request that its director, Juan Ramón Vinagre, complied with an encore dedicated to friendship.

The Councilor for Culture of Teguise, Olivia Duque, presented the Orfeón La Paz with a batch of books published by her department and a commemorative sculpture of the 600 Years of History of Teguise.
