The 24th edition of the Lanzarote International Film Festival has received a total of 2605 short films from 116 nationalities.

Since last November, a selection committee made up of professionals linked to the world of culture and filmmaking has been viewing all the films to finally create an Official Selection of 59 short films. These shorts are divided into different categories that will make up the festival's awards: documentary, animation, Canarian, national fiction and international fiction.

As in each edition, the festival proposes a week full of events, among which the screenings of the works in competition stand out. Until next Friday, May 24, the screenings will take place with various talks and discussions in El Almacén, with the Gala and Awards Ceremony being held on Saturday, May 25.

Tickets for each session cost two euros. And 15 euros for those who want to acquire the complete pass with which to attend all the screenings. Invitations can be obtained at  www.festivalcinelanzarote.com or at  www.ecoentradas.com.
