Last Wednesday, the cellist Razvan Suma, accompanied on the piano by Professor Mihail Horia, offered the concert framed in the 'VIII Arrecife Classical Concerts Cycle' and which is titled 'Music and Literature'. A concert with which they managed to fill the allowed capacity completely in the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz in Arrecife.

The concert began with an introduction by the president of the Lanzarote Writers Association, Juan Luis Quincoces, who narrated the text of the novel 'The Bed of Procrustes', by the Romanian author Camil Petrescu, thus sharing with the nationality of the participating musicians.

Next, the cellist and pianist offered the public five pieces in the popular style of the German composer, pianist and music critic Robert Schumann, dedicated to the cellist Johann Andreas Grabau. Immediately afterwards, the musicians Razvan and Suma presented two new compositions: 'Gespräch' by Aita Donostia and 'Medievalesca' by Lorenzo Ondarra. The works of Basque composers of significant romanticism, like the three movements of Sonata No. 1 in E minor op. 38 by Brahms, both works are of artistic complexity and were rewarded with the prolonged applause of the public.

Razvan Suma and Mihail Horia finished the concert with the works 'Ixil-Ixilik' and 'Arranoa', by the composer Garbizu and put the finishing touch with 'Three Fantasy Pieces' by Robert Schumann, based on the letters written in the year 1814 by Hoffmann, written in just two days of the month of February 1849 in one of the happiest moments of his life. The public stood up and dedicated a prolonged applause to them that the musicians received very gratefully and with great desire to return to Lanzarote.

The next concert is scheduled for Friday, May 10 and will be the fourth concert that will feature the 'Trio, Violin, Clarinet and Piano', with David Ballesteros, Andrea Chico and Luis León, respectively.
