The bassoon quartet Entre Cañas will offer this Saturday from noon a new concert of the Noon Festival, framed in the program of cultural activities designed in November by the City Council of Arrecife.
Humberto García Afonso, Alberto Díaz Medina, Antonio Ramos Díaz and Ramón Óliver Herrera Díaz are four young canaries determined to publicize the bassoon in an unusual way, with repertoires that include varied styles such as jazz, tango, pasodoble or popular music, among others.
With free admission, the concert will take place at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz in Arrecife, where two more concerts will be held in November. On the 18th by the trombone trio Drei Equali and on the 25th by Koncon Dúo, integrated by the soloist Marta Pío -trained at the prestigious Royal Conservatory of The Hague- and the flutist Ana Isabel Rodríguez.
Small format and with styles that include classical music and the known as modern classical music, the autumn season of the Noon Festival in Arrecife has included performances by guitarist Alexander Álvarez, the Chamber Choir of Garachico, the Dúo Salas, the Dúo Mökoi', the pianist Ernesto Alemán, the Cuban timplista based in Tenerife, Liana Llauger, and the 'Dúo Rioplatense'. In addition, on October 14, the concert of 'Cuarteto Imprevisto' should have been held but it was postponed to December 2 as the pre-alert for high temperatures remained in force that day throughout the Island.
