The Víctor Fernández Gopar Theater 'El Salinero' intends to become the epicenter of musical talent in Lanzarote on June 1, through the 'LZ Urban Contest', promoted by the Cabildo de Lanzarote and presented as a proposal for all fans of urban music.
The Minister of Culture, Jesús Machín Tavío, highlighted the importance of this event, stating that: "The LZ Urban Contest is a unique opportunity for local urban music talents. It is a space where they can show their creativity and be recognized for their work. We invite all interested parties not to miss this opportunity to be part of an event that celebrates diversity and innovation in the urban music scene."
This contest arises with the objective of "providing local urban artists with a space to show their talent and value." "If you are passionate about reggaeton, trap, rap or dembow, among other urban genres, this is your opportunity, as it is a unique showcase where, in addition to public recognition, participants can opt for interesting cash prizes. The first classified will obtain 1,000 euros, the second classified 500 euros, the third classified 300 euros, the fourth classified 200 euros and the fifth classified: 100 euros," explains the councilor.
In addition, the winner of the contest will have the opportunity to record a video clip in Lanzarote, while the five winners will perform as opening acts for an internationally renowned artist, whose identity will be revealed soon.
Registration to participate in this first edition will open from May 4 to May 19, through the email [email protected]. All relevant information will be available on the website of the urban dance contest.
