The legacy left by the great Canarian tenor Alfredo Kraus continues to shine. On Friday night, in a new edition of the tribute concert to his figure, a select group of young lyrical artists made a completely dedicated audience vibrate and stand up.

The show promoted by the tenor from Lanzarote, Pancho Corujo, and promoted and supported by the Culture and Tourism departments of the Arrecife City Council, both led by Rafael Juan González, also has a solidarity aspect and, every year, the response from the citizens is "very satisfactory and rewarding", as stated by councilor Carmen Delgado, who went on stage to congratulate, on behalf of her colleague, all the artists and to thank the presence, in this new edition, of the children of Alfredo Kraus.

On this occasion, the concert was in benefit of the Association of Oncohematological families of Lanzarote (AFOL), whose president, Carmen Arrocha, also dedicated a few words of gratitude to both the artists and the Culture and Tourism departments.

The public arrived this Friday at the Sala Teatro Atlántida willing to enjoy a high-quality concert, as it happened in the past three editions. Impressive voices, a careful staging and an original and fresh way of interpreting some of the most well-known operatic and zarzuela pieces were the perfect ingredients to give life to one of the shows with the highest artistic quality of those held throughout the Canary Islands.

The IV Alfredo Kraus Tribute Concert featured in this new edition the Óscar of Lírica as the best tenor of the year in the world, César Albelo, the tenors, Orlando Niz and Francisco Corujo, the sopranos Yolanda Auyanet, Ruth Terán and Leonor Bonilla, the baritones César San Martín and Axier Sánchez, and the mezzo-soprano Belén Elvira. They were accompanied on the piano by Juan Antonio Álvarez Parejo and Juan Luis Bago.
