The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, has signed a municipal decree to establish the circulation of vehicles during the days of greatest affluence to the Caleta de Famara festivities.
Among the measures adopted by the council, the lane of the LZ-402 road, between Teguise and Famara, in the direction of La Caleta will be closed, from the roundabout of intersection with the LZ-30 road (Teguise Mozaga). These cuts will take place on the following days:
- From September 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2.
- From September 2 from 12 noon to 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 3.
- From September 3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This road will be exclusively for the use of security vehicles, emergencies, cleaning, public bus and taxi services, as well as for residents of the scattered Las Laderas.
During the period of days exposed, all residents who want to access La Caleta must use the LZ-410 road (Soo).
Also, the following streets will remain closed to road traffic: Brisa, Roque del Oeste, Pleamar, Sotavento, Jamo, Erizo, Mar de Leva, the section of Avenida El Marinero between the intersection with Borda street and the intersection with El Islote street, the section of San Borondón street between the intersection with Borda street and the intersection with El Islote street, on the days and time slots detailed below:
- On Friday, September 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Saturday the 2nd.
- On Saturday, September 2 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday the 3rd.
From 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday the 3rd, parking of vehicles will be prohibited on the following streets: Calle Brea (from the intersection with Calle Pleamar to the entrance of the pier), Calles Brisa, Jamo and Erizo, the section of Avda. El Marinero between the intersection with Calle Borda and the intersection with Calle el Islote, the section of Calle San Borondón between the intersection with Calle Borda and the intersection with Calle El Islote and the section between the intersection with Calle Erizo and the intersection with Calle Jamo.
