The Teguise City Council has presented a new edition of the youth Christmas musical The Adventure of Rhythm, the Treasure of Guanapay, a show that showcases the talent, creativity, and commitment of Teguise's youth.

Tickets for this show, which will be held in the Teguise Municipal Tent in the days leading up to the arrival of the Three Wise Men, will go on sale on December 18th starting at 12:00 PM through ecoentradas.com. The scheduled performances will be on Sunday, January 4th, 2026, with two shows at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and on Monday, January 5th, 2026, with a single show at 6:00 PM.

This youth project, with more than 15 years of history, brings together an ensemble of over 60 young people again this year, selected after the casting held last October. All of them participate directly and actively in the creation of the show, taking on responsibilities in music, singing, dancing, costumes, scripts, and staging, which makes this musical one of the most comprehensive youth participation projects in the municipality.

This year, the show incorporates as a new feature the live performance of the Teguise Municipal Band, Teguiband, which joins the musical for the first time, as well as the usual participation of the Fayna Skating School, which once again brings dynamism and visual richness to the scenic proposal.

Under the title The Adventure of Rhythm, the Treasure of Guanapay, this musical transports the audience to the Guanapay volcano and Santa Bárbara Castle, the setting for a story filled with music, fantasy, and emotion. Throughout the show, four young people embark on a journey through different rhythms and cultures of the world, discovering that music is felt with the heart and that the true treasure lies in friendship, unity, and shared dreams. Dance, live music, visual effects, and carefully crafted scenography create an immersive experience designed for all audiences.

The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, highlighted that the musical represents a source of pride for the municipality due to its artistic quality and, especially, for the leading role of committed and creative youth, underscoring the firm commitment of the City Council to continue generating spaces for real participation for young people. For his part, the Director General of Youth of the Canary Islands Government, Daniel Morales, highlighted that "these types of initiatives clearly reflect the line of work of the Canary Islands Government, based on fostering the active participation of youth and supporting projects where young people themselves are the protagonists of the creative process".Finally, the Councilor for Youth of the Teguise City Council, Andoni Machín, wanted to publicly thank the effort, dedication, and involvement of all the young participants, highlighting that "thanks to their perseverance and commitment, this musical continues to grow every year and consolidate itself as one of the most anticipated events of Christmas in Teguise."

This musical is supported by the Directorate General of Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Teguise City Council, through its Youth Department, reaffirming the joint and determined commitment to promote youth participation and offer young people real spaces to express themselves, create, and be an active part of the cultural life of the municipality.

A show that once again demonstrates that, in Teguise, Christmas is built from culture, enthusiasm, and young talent.
