More than 5,000 people enjoy José Vélez's concert for Canary Islands Day

The program of events will end this Friday with the event 'Verses for a city', which is held in the José Ramírez Cerdá Park at 8:00 p.m.

The festivities organized on the occasion of Canary Islands Day, organized by the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, culminated spectacularly with the great concert of the beloved and renowned artist from Telde, José Vélez.

The event held in José Ramírez Cerdá Park was attended by "more than 5,000 people", who enjoyed and sang along to each of the songs performed by Vélez, demonstrating once again their affection and admiration for the singer.

The Deputy Mayor of the Arrecife City Council, Echedey Eugenio, expresses his gratitude for the notable participation and enthusiasm shown during all the events held.

“I want to thank all the attendees for their active participation in the celebrations of the day in which we claim our Canarian homeland. The public's response has been fantastic, and the José Vélez concert has been the perfect finishing touch to some memorable festivities,” declared Eugenio, who emphasized “the strengthening of our sense and feeling of Canarian identity and cohesion as a people.”

During the concert, the public enjoyed a repertoire that included some of José Vélez's greatest hits, such as 'Let's Dance a Waltz', 'I'm Canarian' and 'One More Year'. The crowd sang in unison, creating a magical and emotional atmosphere.

The program of events will end this Friday with the event 'Verses for a city', which is organized by the Department of Culture, and which will feature the participation of prominent artists such as Bosco González and Benito Cabrera, among others. Remember that it is held in José Ramírez Cerdá Park at 8:00 p.m.
