Las Vacilonas have created the "Francisco José Navarro" award for the murga with the most magic. From the group they explain that it is a recognition of Navarro for being "an emblem of our carnival", for presenting the murga contest for decades.
As they explain, they contacted the Radio Lanzarote announcer months ago and he accepted with a "resounding yes." To choose the winner of this award, they explain that "we will base ourselves on what each group makes us feel during their entire performance" and it will be presented by Francisco José at the headquarters on the day of the murga final.
This Saturday Francisco José Navarro was presented with a replica of his 2021 trophy, the date of its creation. Finally, Las Vacilones "next we hope to deliver it in the 2022 contest, it would mean an improvement in the current situation."
