Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder will be able to enjoy the attractions of San Ginés

A team of occupational therapists from Lanzarote has a calm corner, bracelets to reduce waiting times and also adapted activities

The Arrecife City Council has encouraged families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to come this Friday to the San Ginés Fairgrounds so that chinijas and chinijos can enjoy the attractions installed for the Patron Saint Festivities, organized by the City Council through various Council Departments, including the Department of Festivities led by the first deputy mayor, Echedey Eugenio.

The capital City Council provides this inclusive service through the LanzaroTea association, which between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. will have occupational therapists who will form rotating groups to enjoy the attractions of the Fairgrounds.

A Fairgrounds located in the vicinity of the Cabildo and that this Friday will have reduced prices of one euro for minors and two for adults; and that from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. cuts the music and lowers the light intensity to favor the enjoyment of this and other groups with special sensory abilities.

The initiative, launched by the City Council of the capital of Lanzarote through the Department of Social Welfare, Equality and Immigration led by the councilor Maite Corujo, will be repeated this Sunday during the children's musical La Superabuela, with the start at 7:00 p.m. in the Parque Islas Canarias.

To provide the service with the maximum possible efficiency, the LanzaroTea team of occupational therapists will have sensory disorder material and a calm corner on both occasions, bracelets to reduce waiting times and will also promote adapted activities.
