The Arrecife City Council proceeded on Friday night to turn on the Christmas lights in the center and neighborhoods of the capital of Lanzarote.
The lighting, with which the Council welcomes Christmas, has large figures in emblematic spaces of the city, such as Avenida Marítima and Charco de San Ginés, among other areas.
"This year we welcome Christmas with the largest Christmas tree in Lanzarote with the same height as the bell tower of the Church of San Ginés", according to the mayor of the capital, Yonathan de León, in commemoration of the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality.
