The average stay in Lanzarote increases this winter, while it decreases in the other islands

Spaniards, Irish, Germans and French will extend their holidays in Lanzarote this winter, while in Tenerife and Gran Canaria they will shorten them

This winter 15% more British tourists will arrive in the Canary Islands, but their stay will be reduced in all the islands. For example, the reduction will be 30% in Gran Canaria, 18% in Tenerife and 15% in Lanzarote, according to the forecasts of the tourism intelligence company Mabrián Technologies.

However, the other four largest tourist markets in the Canary Islands, Spanish, Irish, German and French, will increase their stay in Lanzarote this winter while in Tenerife and Gran Canaria they will shorten it significantly. In Fuerteventura only the stay of Germans and French increases.

Spaniards are the ones that will increase their stay in Lanzarote the most, 16%, up to an average of 6.5 days. Meanwhile, in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, Spanish tourism will reduce its stay by 5% to 5.8 and 5.9 days respectively, while in Fuerteventura the fall will be 16% to 6.5 days.

For its part, Irish tourism will increase its stay in Lanzarote to 8.7 days, 4% more. In Fuerteventura the average stay of the Irish will fall by 16% to 8.3 days. In Tenerife and Gran Canaria, the fall is 7% and 10% respectively, so the average stay of the Irish in the capital islands will be 8.2 and 8.4 days in each one.

Regarding tourism from Germany, its stay also increases by 4% in Lanzarote, up to 10.8 days. A mark only surpassed in Fuerteventura that with an increase of 7% will have an average German stay of 10.9 days. On the other hand, Germans will shorten their vacations in Tenerife and Gran Canaria by 10% and 2% respectively to 9.9 and 10.6 days respectively.

The average stay of French tourists will increase by 10% this winter in Lanzarote up to 8.7 days on average. It also increases in Fuerteventura, 7% up to 8.9 days. However, the French will shorten their stay in Tenerife by 5% to an average of 8.4 days and in Gran Canaria, by 37% to 10.4 days.
