Vivienda awards the drafting of the project to build more than 120 protected houses in Yaiza

The company UTE Santana & Díaz-Llanos, SD2 Arquitectos will be in charge of executing the works, with a budget of 439,453.92 euros

The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Housing Institute (ICAVI) has awarded the contracts to draft nine projects that will allow the construction of 487 protected homes on the islands. The island with the highest number of homes to be built will be Lanzarote, with 126 properties.

For a base bidding budget of 2,684,784.84 euros, Vivienda will tender the contracts for drafting these projects.

These actions, financed with Next Generation funds, through the Mechanism for Recovery and Resilience (MRR), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and by the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, will allow the execution of properties in the municipal districts of Yaiza, in Lanzarote. As well as in other Canarian municipalities such as Santa María de Guía, La Oliva, Puerto del Rosario, Gáldar and Santa Lucía de Tirajana, in the province of Las Palmas, and Tazacorte and Guía de Isora, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

In this sense, the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda will contribute 1,900,012.35 euros and the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands 133,000.86 euros.

In Lanzarote, 126 protected properties will be executed in the municipality of Yaiza, which have been awarded to the company UTE Santana & Díaz-Llanos, SD2 Arquitectos, with a total budget of 439,453.92 euros.

The company José Miguel Fuentes Marante will be in charge of the project for another batch of 100 protected homes in La Palma, in the municipal district of Tazacorte. This is a promotion that is expected to be built on four floors with a budget of 419,416.46 euros.

Likewise, on the island of Tenerife, a group of 24 homes is planned to be built in the municipality of Guía de Isora, with a budget of 102,268.05 euros, awarded to the bidding company Santiago Trujillo – Arquitecto STAGarquitectos, and in Fuerteventura, two lots are specified in Puerto del Rosario and La Oliva of 33 and 81 properties, respectively, for which 138,513.78 and 384,023.00 euros will be allocated for drafting both projects.

Finally, on the island of Gran Canaria, the drafting of four batches of homes will be carried out, one in Santa María de Guía of 45 protected houses with a budget of 179,760 euros; another of 26 homes in Santa Lucía de Tirajana for 131,610.00 euros, and two other batches in the municipal district of Gáldar of 26 homes each, with 96,300 and 141,668 euros, respectively.

The Canary Islands Housing Plan 2020-2025, approved by resolution of December 21, 2020, aims to guarantee access to protected housing. Within this initiative, sub-projects of low-voltage electrical installations, plumbing, thermal installations, safety and health studies, as well as the project management of the project and the sub-projects of installations are included.
