The tenth edition of 'Malvasía Week' ended this Sunday, November 10th, with a great reception after a week of artistic, gastronomic and cultural experiences organized by the Regulatory Council of D.O.P. Vinos de Lanzarote.
The week began with the eno-artistic workshop by Rufina Santana, an illustrative journey where wine became art, followed by one of the novelties of this edition 'VINOmios (Im)perfectos, an innovative tasting experience held at the Kentia Gourmet Club restaurant, where different local wines were tasted with the aim of discovering perfect pairings.
The sweetest event continued with the cake and wine workshop with Adelia Ramírez, which combined sweet and savory flavors with a selection of Lanzarote wines for a complete sensory experience. The program included more novelties, an eno-photographic experience by Rubén Acosta and Elisa Miralles, who presented a unique pairing of photobooks and wines from the Jable de Tao winery, attendees were able to enjoy both wine and visual art.
In this edition, the already classic 'Érase una vid…' was also present. In a privileged environment, the narrator Isabel Cabrera intoxicated the attendees with local legends at Finca Testeina, paired with wines from the Vega de Yuco winery, an experience that, once again, captivated the public and underlined the role of wine in the culture and island landscape.
The grand finale was the wine route through the lunar landscape of La Geria, visiting three of the island's most emblematic wineries, La Geria, Stratvs and El Grifo. Attendees enjoyed a unique tour, discovering the stories and flavors that define this unique wine region and the agricultural tradition of Lanzarote.
The gastronomic experience ConVinados at the Nakai restaurant also delighted and conquered the palates of all attendees.
“We are very satisfied with the reception of this tenth edition. We wanted attendees to experience the diversity and depth of Lanzarote wine from different perspectives,” said Jorge Rodríguez, president of the Regulatory Council of D.O.P. Vinos de Lanzarote.
“We have made wine the bridge between culture and territory, highlighting its role in the island's heritage,” he added enthusiastically.
"The public response has been extraordinary; practically all events sold out in a very short time," said Nereida Pérez, secretary of the Regulatory Council. "The wine-growing tradition is a fundamental part of our identity, and it is a pride to be able to share and celebrate this valuable legacy of Lanzarote with wine enthusiasts," she added.
