The Stavla union, which has called the strike of Vueling cabin crew, warns that the flights operated by the company in Lanzarote will be affected with delays and also "with cancellations" while the intermittent stoppages last, which are scheduled until January 31.
For the moment, on the first day of the strike that took place on November 1, there were no consequences on the island and on the second, this Friday, no cancellations had been registered either, as confirmed by Vueling to La Voz. However, the airline does not rule out that it will happen in the following days of the strike.
The minimum services established by the Ministry of Transport for flights from Lanzarote are 77% in November and 71% in December. During the Christmas period and the month of January, the coverage of minimum services will be applied to 73% of flights.
At the national level, the company has reported that it operates 89% of the scheduled flights this Friday and has canceled 62 preventively. The strike is scheduled for every Friday, Sunday, Monday and holidays until January 31, 2023. The union demands a salary increase of 13.4%.
The Barcelona-based airline has direct flights from Lanzarote to Alicante, Amsterdam, Asturias, Barcelona, Bilbao, Copenhagen, London, Madrid, Malaga, Paris, Santiago, Seville, Valencia, Zaragoza; in addition to numerous connecting flights to many other destinations.
