In March, almost 600 vehicles were registered in Lanzarote, which is 82.3% more than were registered in the same month last year. Compared to the previous month, the growth was 32.6%.

The figures have been published by the Lanzarote Data Center based on statistics from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC) and the Directorate General of Traffic.

Between January and March, a total of 1,430 vehicles have been registered on the island, compared to just over a thousand units in the same period of 2022, representing a growth of 41.7%.

At the beginning of 2022, the problems derived from the health crisis of covid 19 still made logistics for the sale of vehicles enormously difficult.

However, the number of cars registered so far this year is almost identical to that registered in the first quarter of 2019, when there were 1,464 vehicles.
