Less than half of the people of Lanzarote believe that the country's economy is in a good situation, it is 46.7% of the population, according to the latest socio-barometer of the Canary Islands published in July by the National University of Distance Education. The rest consider it bad or very bad.
The percentage of positive responses regarding the national economy is almost twelve points lower than that obtained in the previous socio-barometer of late 2022, when it was 58.6%.
However, the citizens of Lanzarote continue to trust in the good performance of the island's economy. 70.8% of the citizens of Lanzarote believe that the island's economy is doing well. The figure confirms the results obtained at the end of 2022 when it amounted to 70.7%.
With respect to the economy of the archipelago as a whole, the percentage is very similar. 70.4% of the people of Lanzarote believe that their situation is good or very good. It is reduced very slightly with respect to the previous study when it reached 70.6% of the population.
