The upward trend observed between January and November is expected to continue this month, as winter places, unlike what happened in summer, have increased.

The air routes that connect Lanzarote with Gran Canaria transported more than 780,000 people between January and November of this year, which is equivalent to an increase of 5.4%, that is, 40,000 more travelers.

Meanwhile, the routes between Lanzarote and Tenerife were about to reach 450,000 travelers, which represents about 22,000 more passengers compared to last year (+5%). The information has been disseminated by the Lanzarote Data Center.

And that's because weekly capacity was reduced in summer compared to the previous year. There were two fewer frequencies with each of the capital islands. Thus, weekly capacity was reduced from 19,880 places in the summer of 2023 to 19,600 last summer season.

It is likely that inter-island traffic will continue to increase, as capacity has increased again in winter compared to the previous year. In this case with 4 additional frequencies with Tenerife and two with Gran Canaria. Thus, the weekly capacity with both islands goes from 15,156 places last winter to 15,562 this season.

Traffic between Lanzarote and La Palma, however, decreases slightly compared to 2023 (-0.4%) although it remains above 16,000 people.
