Informática Lanzarote is in luck. Last November 20th, it turned 25 years old and, to celebrate it, it held an event in the halls of the Hotel Lancelot. Clients, suppliers, workers, collaborators and friends of this already historic company from Lanzarote gathered there. Even suppliers from Madrid and Gran Canaria traveled to Lanzarote to celebrate this anniversary of Informática Lanzarote.

The attendees to this event enjoyed a welcome cocktail, a dinner, as well as a comedy show, an instrumental performance and raffles and dances. The event was also attended by the president of the Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce, José Torres, as well as the manager of Telefónica in the Canary Islands, Ángel Falcón, who supported Informática Lanzarote in this special celebration.

Informática Lanzarote was the first computer store to open on the island in 1985. As the years passed, it evolved towards other sectors such as mobile telephony, stationery, image, sound and even began to also sell office furniture and offer technical services.

Currently, Informática Lanzarote has 14 points of sale in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria and employs almost 100 people. Its owner Andrónico Pérez also intends to consolidate in Las Palmas and open new offices in Tenerife.

Pérez looks back and remembers when Informática Lanzarote became the first computer store on the island. "We started with the technology of that time. It was complicated, because computing was not yet booming. But it was very nice to open up to a new unknown market", says the owner of this company.

A company with a future

Now focused on serving offices and companies that need technology, Informática Lanzarote has always had a very young staff eager to evolve within that market. "Getting a company off the ground is not easy at all, but we have achieved it," Andrónico Pérez proudly emphasizes.

"It is very nice to be 25 years old, to maintain a project for so many years, to see what you have created together with the workers. Knowing that you are still in the fight despite the hard times of the economic crisis. To continue having challenges, to continue progressing and to sign up for the evolutions of technology", indicates Pérez.

The owner of Informática Lanzarote is confident that the company will continue "at the foot of the canyon" for many more years. "We are thinking about the future," he says.
