Idealista has gone through the first phase of its sale process after its owners received up to six offers exceeding 3,000 million euros, according to the newspaper Cinco Días.

The current owner, the Swedish private equity fund EQT, bought the majority of Idealista in 2020 for 1,300 million euros and has opted for a restricted auction to which it has invited several investors, according to the news portal ejecutivos.es.

Other shareholders in the real estate information company are Apax Partners, Oakley Capital and several of the founders of the company.

Idealista was created by Jesús and Fernando Encinar in collaboration with César Oteiza and has a large part of the market in its sector both in Spain and in Portugal and Italy.

In 2022, the company reported revenues of 218 million euros in that year, with losses of 82 million after amortizations of 144 million.
