Lanzarote now has a new Association of Education and Training Centers (ACELAN), which is non-profit and whose main objective is to represent and defend the professional interests of its members and promote and develop the training activity of the island. Any natural or legal person who carries out their business activity in Lanzarote, in the field of education and training, may be integrated into this group.
Despite its recent creation, Acelan is emerging as an integrating association, where all businessmen or professionals in the training sector on the island feel represented, according to a statement. In fact, this initiative has started from different training centers distributed throughout the municipalities of the island, such as the Millennium Teaching Center, Akacenter Study Center, Lanzarote Therapeutic Educational Center, Dolphinland Training Center, Esacan and Canario Training Center.
"The aim is to unify training criteria, so that private Lanzarote education obtains the maximum award recognized in terms of the quality of its services and that it has the acceptance and appreciation of the island public and Public Administrations", they point out through the statement.
Insular interests
The facilities of these centers are approved by the Government of the Canary Islands and are certified with the quality management distinctive, according to the UNE-ISO 9001 standard. In addition, they have qualified and qualified professionals who strive to maintain a sector that is experiencing a difficult situation due to "illegal intrusion and competition from external companies". "We intend to fight for insular interests, betting on our own human and material resources," they indicate.
