The Global South Forum 2026 has officially opened the registration period to attend the day of Dialogues that will feature the former President of the Government of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, next March 20 in the emblematic San José Castle.

People interested in attending will be able to formalize their registration free of charge until full capacity, through the official website of the Foro Global Sur.

The meeting will be structured as a conversation in which the main geopolitical, economic, and institutional challenges that Europe and Spain face in the current international context will be analyzed, addressing issues such as institutional stability, democratic strength, international cooperation, economic growth, and Spain's role in the turbulent global scenario.

The event will bring together institutional, business, and social representatives, consolidating the Global South Forum as a reference space for high-level analysis and debate in the Canary Islands.

The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort; the president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez; the vice president of the Government of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez; and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, José Valle, among other authorities, have confirmed their attendance.

The organization encourages interested people to formalize their registration in advance, given the limited capacity and the high interest generated by this edition.

The Global South Forum 2026 has the sponsorship of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote, the Government of the Canary Islands, the Society for External Promotion of Lanzarote and Cumbre 8, as well as the collaboration of Lanis Suites de Luxe, CICAR and the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa and the co-organization of Lanzarote Media.
