Mariano Rajoy, will star in the next edition of the Diálogos del Foro Global Sur 2026, which will be held on March 20 in the emblematic Castillo de San José.
During the session, the former President of the Government of Spain Mariano Rajoy will address the main geopolitical, economic, and institutional challenges that face Europe and Spain in the current international context.
His intervention, the central axis of the meeting, will allow analyzing issues of special relevance such as institutional stability, democratic solidity, international cooperation, economic growth and the positioning of Spain on the global stage, from the perspective granted by his experience at the head of the Executive in a particularly significant stage for the economic and political stability of the country, the former president will offer a rigorous and strategic reflection on the present moment and future challenges.
The celebration of this dialogue strengthens the consolidation of the Global South Forum as a reference space for analysis, reflection, and high-level debate, strengthening its institutional projection and its convening capacity.
The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort; the president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez; the vice-president of the Government of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez; the Minister of Tourism and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands, Jéssica de León; and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, José Valle, have also confirmed their attendance, along with representatives from the institutional, business, and social spheres of the island.
