Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park celebrated 10 years since its opening in December. In this time, it has had a great evolution, from when it opened as an equestrian center to what it is today. In addition, this space has become an ideal place for all kinds of celebrations, such as birthdays, baptisms or communions. The gastronomic offer is "simple", but of "great quality" and also has three restaurants.
One of those familiar with the evolution of Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park, Óscar García, explained that this space did not celebrate its anniversary, since it was facing the expansion of the pools for sea lions. In addition, he insisted that the objective of this infrastructure and one of its owners, Nicolás López, is to bring nature closer to the people of Lanzarote.
"It is not a defect of the people of Lanzarote not to visit the places that tourists visit, because this happens in all parts of the world. It seems that what is far away is better than what we have nearby. But that is a bit sad. Rancho Texas is an authentic work of art in every way. Everything has been done in an artisanal way and with care and no outside companies have intervened, but it has been done by people from Lanzarote. 90 percent of the people who work are people from the island. It is not something made by foreigners for tourists," he explained.
Therefore, when a resident enters Rancho Texas Park, its managers are "very happy". "We don't want them to consider it a tourist attraction, but it is made for us," García insisted.
Thus, García recommends visiting with family or in a group to enjoy the animals and nature. "It has the perfect dimensions, because it is not very big but there is room to walk around," he highlighted.
In addition, it is a place that usually pleases "all ages". "The elderly value the relaxation areas and quiet walks, the children have a great time and the teenagers have the swimming pools with water games or canoes. At any age one finds their place, their environment in Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park," he pointed out.
In addition, many schools on the island also go to this place. "Almost all of them will have passed through here, because that is taken care of a lot. The other day I coincided with a group from Fuerteventura, about 150, who came with the children, along with the parents and teachers. They took the boat and spent the day at Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park. They were very surprised," he pointed out.
And, according to Óscar García, in this place you learn "seeing the animals in the wild, which always gives lessons".
