The Lanzarote International Film Festival continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary with an exceptional training proposal aimed at performers and film lovers.
The renowned actor Fernando Cayo, star of titles such as La Casa de Papel, El Orfanato, Mar de Plástico, The Counselor or McMafia, will give an Interpretation for the Camera Laboratory within the framework of the contest.
This is a practical and intensive workshop that offers participants the opportunity to delve into interpretation techniques and tools in front of the camera by a professional in activity, with more than three decades of experience in film, theater and television, and a recognized career as a trainer in public and private centers.
A training experience for 21st century performers. The laboratory is open to actors and actresses of all levels, and proposes a fast, intuitive, creative and sensitive methodology to work with scripts and separates,
analyze sequences and build cinematographic characters.
Throughout the course, relaxation exercises, concentration, narrative and emotional analysis, sequence recording and viewing of shots will be combined, in a collaborative environment that favors learning, artistic growth and personal exploration.
As Fernando Cayo himself explains: “For me it is essential to create a generous and concentrated work environment, where the interpreter can experiment, investigate and strengthen their creative and playful nature,
opening up to new tools and possibilities of interpretation.”

During the sessions, essential aspects will be addressed such as:
Text analysis techniques, narrative structure and character construction.
Physical, vocal and emotional tools to enhance expressiveness and
presence on camera.
Specific preparation for filming, work in casting and direction of actors.
Exercises and resources based on the teachings of masters such as Stanislavski, Grotowski, Lecoq, Stella Adler and other contemporary references.
