Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park has developed an educational program to raise awareness about marine pollution. This activity, which is completely free for schools on the island of Lanzarote, is open to students in their final year of Infant School (5 years old), primary and secondary school.

The program aims to raise awareness among the school population, making them reflect on the situation of marine pollution, so that they become aware of the importance of protecting marine ecosystems.

"We believe that education is the key to conservation and one of the most important tasks that promote change towards awareness and a sustainable future."

The Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda will be analyzed, with the aim that they can adopt sustainable living habits in harmony with nature, learning to recycle and working with a learning-service methodology with the motto: "Think globally, act locally".

The program will begin with the first visit on March 30, with a children's group from CEIP Ajei, and will continue throughout the 2023-2024 school year, until the end of June 2024. The education department has developed this educational program in order to collaborate with the schools on the island, seeking the objective that the youngest children know, learn and become active agents for the protection of nature.

Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park opened its doors at the end of 2002 and since its inception continues to reinforce its commitment to animal welfare, conservation and research, the three main principles that drove its construction.
