The Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands has announced subsidies aimed at supporting Canarian sports clubs that compete in national-level absolute categories of the various sports, corresponding to the 2020 financial year. This week, the regional Executive has also published the granting of aid to cover travel expenses for attending sports activities.
The Executive has allocated a total of 1,741,000 euros of its own funds to the first of these aids. The deadline for submitting applications for line 1 of the same, aimed at covering expenses derived from the administrative and operational organization of sports clubs or entities, will remain open from January 20 to February 5, both inclusive. Applications to join line 2, which relates exclusively to the sports field, will be formalized between June 3 and June 17.
The total amount of subsidies for inter-island, state and international travel, carried out in the fourth period, that is, between July 1, 2019 and August 31, 2019, has been 115,730 euros, from funds of the Autonomous Community.
