The Ministry of Health has proposed to the autonomous communities to close perimetrically between March 17 and 21, 2021 in those territories where March 19 is a holiday for the San José bridge, and from March 26 to April 9, coinciding with the Easter period.
This is established in the draft, which Europa Press has had access to, which the Ministry of Health will present this Wednesday to the autonomous communities during the plenary session of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS). In it, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands are excluded from this limitation.
In addition, the department headed by Carolina Darias proposes limiting night mobility between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and meetings to a maximum of four people in closed public spaces and six in open spaces, unless they are cohabitants. In private spaces, meetings will be limited to cohabitants.
In the draft, which will be debated this Wednesday, Sanidad advises the autonomous communities not to lower the alert level in which they are, "even if the indicators are favorable", during the two weeks prior to the start of Easter (from March 12), thus maintaining the measures established at that time or even increasing them if the evolution of the indicators so requires.
Regarding mass celebrations and events, it is advisable not to hold mass events of any kind that involve crowds or concentration of people; it is pointed out that events in closed spaces must follow the capacity rules and other measures established in the document 'Coordinated response actions for the control of Covid-19 transmission according to the alert level of each autonomous community', and will take into account the provisions of article 7.3 and 4 of Royal Decree 926/2020 of October 25 and the provisions of the decrees of the autonomous communities.
Similarly, Sanidad advocates carrying out an institutional campaign to avoid relaxation of behaviors, with the slogan 'We do not save weeks, we save lives', as well as including the integration in communication strategies of elements aimed at reducing the impact of 'pandemic fatigue' in control measures and raising the expected risk scenarios including the hope provided by the good results of the vaccines used to control the epidemic.
