The Canary Islands adds 94 new infections and one death in the last 24 hours

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 38.37 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days is at 80.65 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 94 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 54,623 with 2,609 active, of which 54 are admitted to the ICU and 229 remain hospitalized, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Likewise, the death of one person in Gran Canaria has been reported, so the total number of deaths in the islands since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 758, of which 420 have been in Tenerife; 266 in Gran Canaria; 48 in Lanzarote; 13 in Fuerteventura; 6 in La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.

The Accumulated Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 38.37 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 80.65 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,092,470 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 3,327 correspond to the last 24 hours.

By islands, Tenerife adds 44 new infections with a total of 23,747 accumulated cases and 1,703 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 22,182 accumulated cases, 23 more than the previous day, and 661 active; Lanzarote adds 26 new cases with 5,223 accumulated and 204 epidemiologically active, and Fuerteventura does not add new infections and has 2,280 accumulated cases and 18 active.

La Palma does not add new cases either and has 542 accumulated and 10 active cases; the same occurs in El Hierro, which continues with 542 cases and 7 active, and La Gomera, which does not register new infections and its accumulated remains at 232, with 5 active.
