Four deaths and 1,630 cases of covid-19 in 24 hours in the Canary Islands

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands provisionally reports this Saturday 1,630 new cases of coronavirus covid-19 and four deaths.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 288,513 with 14,436 active, of which 41 are admitted to the ICU and 291 remain hospitalized, the Ministry of Health reported in a statement.

In the last hours, four deaths have been reported in the Canary Islands: one in Gran Canaria, one in Tenerife, one in Lanzarote and one in La Gomera, pending validation by Public Health.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 437.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 725.84 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 696 cases with a total of 132,559 accumulated cases and 5,999 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 108,480 accumulated cases, 759 more than the previous day and 6,609 active.

Lanzarote adds 80 new cases with 19,785 accumulated and 547 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 14,542 accumulated cases, with 16 new cases and 794 active. La Palma adds 54 new positives, bringing the total to 9,644 accumulated and 365 active.

La Gomera has 19 new positives, so its accumulated are 1,755 and has 99 active cases, and El Hierro adds six new cases, so it has 1,747 accumulated and its assets are 23.

To date, a total of 3,252,130 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 5,270 correspond to the previous day.

The Ministry of Health recalls that these data published on the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams.
