Eleven new positives for coronavirus in the Canary Islands, which has 159 active cases

The archipelago has also registered a new discharge in the last 24 hours

Lanzarote registers only four new positives and the active cases go down to 188

Canarias has added eleven new positives for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the accumulated cases to 2,568 since the beginning of the pandemic. 

According to data from the Ministry of Health, the archipelago has 159 active cases, as a new discharge has also been registered in the last day. With this, there are already 2,247 people who have overcome the disease in the Canary Islands, which counts 162 deaths. 

Of the 159 active cases, one person is admitted to the ICU and three are on the hospital floor, while the remaining 155 are in home isolation.

By place of declaration of the case, Fuerteventura has 65 active cases, Tenerife has 46, Gran Canaria has 37 and Lanzarote remains with 11. In the last day, some 91 tests were carried out on the island of Conejera, which gave negative results. For their part, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro continue without active cases.
