The Canary Islands have registered only four new positive cases since this Thursday and marks its fourth consecutive day without deaths since Monday was placed at 151.
With the new cases confirmed by laboratory tests, the positive cases are at 2,284, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands until 8:00 p.m. this Friday.
In the Canary archipelago there are 609 active cases, while those closed by medical discharge are at 1,524, 18 more than the last 24 hours. Affected men are fewer, with 1,036, compared to 1,248 women.
By islands, of the total positive cases, more than half are in Tenerife, with 1,451 (three more than yesterday), followed by Gran Canaria, with 563 positives (+1), or La Palma with 95 (same).
Regarding deaths, Tenerife registers 106 deaths, followed by Gran Canaria (37), Lanzarote (6) and La Palma (3).
The rest of the islands continue without counting any deaths, while the most affected age group continues to be that of people over 80 years of age with 71 people who have lost their lives.
