The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands registers 1,545 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 258,249 with 102,525 active, of which 88 are admitted to the ICU and 626 remain hospitalized. In the last hours the death of nine people between 63 and 95 years old has been notified, except for one case with 50 years. Of the total number of deaths, four were counted in Gran Canaria, another four in Tenerife and the remaining case in Lanzarote. All had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 432.09 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 1,246.72 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 538 cases with a total of 120,691 accumulated cases and 47,748 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 95,369 accumulated cases, 583 more than the previous day and 43,326 active. Lanzarote adds 81 new cases with 18,226 accumulated and 3,801 epidemiologically active. Fuerteventura has 12,645 accumulated cases, with 125 new cases and 6,430 active. La Palma adds 189 new positives, so it has 8,284 accumulated and 980 active. El Hierro adds 20 new positives, so its accumulated are 1,537 and has 132 active cases and La Gomera adds 9 new cases, so it has 1,497 accumulated and its assets are 108.
Until this day, a total of 3,103,188 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 8,201 correspond to the previous day.
