Canary Islands adds 79 new infections and one death in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports this Monday 79 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 95,340 with 1,258 active, of which 32 are admitted to the ICU and 130 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, the death of a male of 82 years in Tenerife who suffered previous pathologies and remained in hospital admission has been reported.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 24.17 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 50.41 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 40 cases with a total of 45,606 accumulated cases and 698 active cases epidemiologically; Gran Canaria has 36,365 accumulated cases, 22 more than the previous day and 290 active. Lanzarote adds 11 new cases with 6,912 accumulated and 99 active epidemiologically; Fuerteventura has 4,480 accumulated cases with five more cases than the previous day and 150 active. La Palma adds a new case and has 1,108 accumulated and 13 active cases; El Hierro does not register new positives, so its accumulated are 465 and its assets are eight. For its part, La Gomera does not add cases, so its accumulated are 403 and it remains without active cases.

Until this day a total of 2,148,554 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,641 correspond to this Sunday.
