A reader has sent a complaint to La Voz to ensure that the telephone of the Civil Registry of Arrecife "always communicates". According to José Gonzalo Jaramillo, this department "puts obstacles to people, who intend to obtain Spanish nationality".
As he explains, on the door of the Civil Registry they placed a note to inform about the office hours and the telephone numbers to which the applicant has to resort. "The telephone line is always busy, even before the established time. The telephone 928599177 is always busy. I have called from 8.15 am to 1.20 pm and it is always busy", denounces this citizen.
"Why do they put that schedule if they don't want to answer?", asks this indignant neighbor.
