Residents of Mozaga have contacted La Voz to report that they have been suffering water cuts by Canal Gestión for "months", which "last up to three and four consecutive days". "They usually happen once every week or week and a half," say residents of this town.

According to them, the last cut they suffered was last Friday without having water again until Sunday. "The problem is that this has been happening for months, it is not something isolated. And they always give us evasive answers that there is an incident," says a neighbor, who considers this to be an "excuse." And, she says that "a month ago" an employee of Canal Gestión admitted to her that "the water cut was to fill the El Islote tanks" and that a technician who came to the area this weekend told them that it was also to fill "others in Tinajo."

Faced with this situation, this woman says that they have called Canal Gestión "several times" to express their complaint, but that their response is that they should "have a tank or cistern for these cases." "The question is that those tanks or cisterns do not last that long. There are those who, for reasons, their cistern is not working and those who do not have a cistern but do have a tank, a tank that lasts a day for a large family," she indicates.

"In my case, we are three members, plus the animals and plants, which in the middle of summer we have to continue supplying with this precious commodity," adds this neighbor, who points out that on this occasion the water only lasted "two days" in her house and that there are "neighbors, who are a larger group, who ran out of water from day 1."

"It is clear that if they have to supply other areas, they must make cuts because otherwise the water does not arrive, but what we ask is that it be done in a controlled manner, that they warn when they will occur and always at a time that does not affect the population and that the cut period is not so long," says this neighbor, "It would be enough if they did not let those tanks dry out and cut a few hours every night, and it would not even be necessary every day if they did not go to the extreme of emptying them, but it is clear that it is easier for them, Canal Gestión, to leave us without water, so as not to have to send someone to open or close the tap continuously."
