A woman who was hospitalized in Lanzarote for a pulmonary thromboembolism wanted to express her gratitude to the staff of the Molina Orosa Hospital.
"I will never have enough words to thank you for the treatment received," says this woman, who thanks the workers for taking her "hand" in "such a difficult moment."
In a letter she sent to La Voz, this woman explains that she went to the Emergency Room on February 12, after having had "symptoms for several days." "They performed several tests on me, which came out fine, but thanks to the persistence of the great doctor who treated me that day, they performed some final tests with which they diagnosed me with a pulmonary thromboembolism and a thyroid condition tripled in its normal value," she details.
She thanks this doctor "deeply" for her "professionalism" and her "concern" for her. "Thanks to her, I was able to put a name to what was happening to me and be able to treat it. In turn, I also want to thank the nurses, nursing assistants and orderlies in the emergency room for the excellent treatment they gave me," she adds.
And, from the 13th to the 17th, this woman says that she was admitted "to the Gynecology ward, since the ward to which she belonged, Internal Medicine, was completely occupied. "I have to thank my internist for the perfect work she did and continues to do with me and all the staff on the ward,"
She also expresses her gratitude to the nurses for listening to her "fears and sensations" and encouraging her "always." "Thank you for helping me always keep a smile," she adds.
"To the nursing assistants, who bathed me in bed with such great affection that the shame was relegated to the background, thank you for always being aware that I didn't lack anything. To the orderlies who took me so many times to carry out so many tests, thank you for turning a path full of fears and anxieties about the result of these tests into a path full of warmth and security," she continues. ´
"When a person gets sick and needs hospital admission, they are full of fears and feel more alone than ever, especially with the current pandemic situation that does not allow family visits, so I will be eternally grateful to the staff of the Dr. José Molina Orosa Hospital for having been my family during this bitter experience," concludes this woman.
