UD Lanzarote wins away from home again after five months

Five months have had to pass for UD Lanzarote to achieve a victory away from home again. The last rojillo success away from the Municipal de Tías was on September 21 against UD Telde (1-2), a triumph that has been repeated this Sunday morning against UD Las Zocas. A solitary goal from Yaco, with five minutes remaining until the end of the match, gave the three points to the team led by Adolfo Pérez. A victory that allows the Lanzarote team to continue adding points and be in a comfortable position in the standings.

UD Lanzarote jumped onto the field of Juanito Marrero with some new faces in the starting eleven. Adofo Pérez gave entry to two youth players in the initial team. This was the case of Acaymo on one of the wings and Echedey in the offensive zone of the team.

The first part of the match was dominated by UD Las Zocas, with the Tenerife team leading the way. A header from Cherre and a shot from Nacor over the crossbar were the clearest chances enjoyed by the Las Zocas players in the first part of the match. UD Lanzarote approached the rival goal in set-piece actions, although without creating excessive danger on the goal defended by Isaac.

The script of the match did not change excessively in the second half. The local team tried to carry the weight of the match, although without finishing to specify the attacking actions they were creating. As happened in the first half, Lanzarote approached the rival goal with set pieces. Las Zocas warned with a shot from Cristofer that went over the crossbar.

With five minutes remaining until the end of the match, the winning goal for UD Lanzarote would arrive. A misunderstanding between Nacor and his goalkeeper Isaac was taken advantage of by Yaco to score the winning goal for the visitors.

The goal would end up breaking the match, with Las Zocas pouring forward in search of the equalizing goal. The Tenerife team left many gaps on the field, a circumstance that could have been used by UD Lanzarote to increase the differences on the scoreboard. After a corner kick, a double shot to the post of the goal by UD Lanzarote, not taking advantage of the opportunity to increase the differences on the scoreboard.

Victory for UD Lanzarote by the minimum against UD Las Zocas and that allows the conguero team to recover from the setback that meant losing the conguero derby of the Third Division last week. A triumph that places UD Lanzarote in a quiet zone and next week will receive the visit of CD Marino.
